Please join us in a Seminar to discuss the vital importance of social and economic liberty. Two internationally renowned speakers will demonstrate that laissez faire capitalism is the only ethical system, and alone can bring about economic recovery and ensure prosperity. Rather than the free marketplace, it is the gigantic size and horrendous growth of big government that is the problem.

· 8:50 to 10:20am: “Character & a Free Society” by Lawrence W. Reed, President, Foundation for Economic Education, USA. He explores how good behavior is best developed and thrives in a natural and unregulated atmosphere. As a journalist, Lawrence visited 69 countries; spent time with Contra rebels in Nicaragua; lived with Mozambique rebel forces; travelled with freedom activists in Poland. · 10:20 to 10:45am: Coffee · 10:45 to 11:15am: “Socialism: A fraud that corrupts society” by Jayant Bhandari. Socialism feeds on and encourages human vices of envy, hatred and sloth. · 11:15 to 11:45am: “The skewed morality of Capitalism’s critics” by Paul Geddes. Skewed morality then forms the backbone of institutions that don’t work. · 11:45 to 12:15am: “Immorality of corporate welfare” by Maureen Bader. Government forces people to fund companies they otherwise might not, corrupting the economic system. In case of so-called green energy, this could mean higher energy costs, increased poverty and not unsurprisingly worsened environment. · 12:15am to 1pm: Lunch · 1pm to 2:15pm: “The difference one can make: Unsung heroes of History” by Lawrence W. Reed. Stories of incredibly inspiring but lesser known individuals. Public participation is encouraged—please sign-in during lunch, if you want to speak; max. 5 minutes. · 2:15 to 2:30pm: Coffee · 2:30 to 4:30pm: “Capitalism: Moral and Efficacious” by Walter Block, Harold E. Wirth Eminent Scholar Chair in Economics and Professor of Economics at Loyola University New Orleans and Senior Fellow with the Ludwig von Mises Institute, USA. He shows how a slavish devotion to Keynesianism has caused our economic debacle, and why adoption of capitalism can return us to sanity. Professor Block, author of the bestselling Defending the Undefendable, will also discuss why we should support profit seeking, legalize drugs and privatize public property. · 4:30pm: Closing remarks by Tunya Audain.
